I wont be back.The staff are inappropriately nosey and rude. They are unattentive to what people order almost always get it wrong because they are too busy being inappropriate. Worst customer service I have ever had in a cafe- no professionalism and a lot of focus on personal delusions of grandeur rather than customer service. The coffee is ok if the order is correct but it gets tainted with poor sevice. Many people I know have had many issues and have chosen to go elsewhere. They have to pick up their game if they want to stay in the game..* If you want great coffee and service go to Industrial Brew they not only have awesome coffee but also great food and sweets catering for everyone including vegans.Hungry Monkey is great yummy food too, forest eats, wild patch, penny whistler, flour,water salt. There are heaps of quality coffee shops in Kiama that I havent mentioned also that can even make your day with their lovely service and high quality barista skills.
Stopped here for breakfast and enjoyed it despite some of the reviews here on Google Maps. Staff were attentive with service at the table provided. When ordering we were able to make adjustments to the dish which they were more than happy to do. Coffee was good also. Cafe lost points slightly for the Aai being too melted when served and the Turkish bread for the bacon and egg roll being a little too thin and broken (messy), bacon was also a bit oily. These are only small things as I would still go back to this cafe as their service and coffee were good.
Not the place to get a smoothie. Ordered mango and passionfruit smoothie and theres no fruit in it. Its mango yoghurt and milk blended together with some passionfruit seeds. Disappointing.
This place is awful. We visited on a busy public holiday and dismissed the rudeness of the man who served us as "stress" and thought nothing of it. We ordered very basic meals (eggs on toast with tomato and salmon - and specified no oil or butter a few times). 45minutes later we were still waiting. When we politely asked how much longer it would be, we were snapped at with the response, "Take a look around, we're kinda busy. It's not like we're not cooking it or anything". I wanted to leave then because I don't mind waiting if someone is busy but I can't handle rudeness to other people. To be completely honest they don't even have many tables and I have received far faster service from places that are loads busier. My partner wanted to stay because he was so hungry. 15 minutes later our meals came and looked like they had been sitting for ages. Everything looked wet and soggy and the bread was completely drowned with butter. and my partner barely had any salmon. We sent the meals back immediately as we had specified (3 times) about no butter/oil. We ended up leaving and went to Woolworths. Maybe telling patrons there will be an hour wait on food or at least being polite and writing down orders correctly wouldn't go astray.
Shockingly rude! 30+min for bacon, eggs and toast, I literally mean bacon eggs and toast!! And then "smug attitude" from the staff about telling them not to bother about the food! Dear Short black cafe, a business is judged on how it handles a situation, good or bad. Smug attitude hurled at us while leaving, really!? I wasn't rude, just came in, paid for our coffee. Your staff reply..cancel the order, great, have a nice day!! Rather then being apologetic, shocking! Went to Saltwater cafe 10 shops up, ordered and in under 10min..bingo beautiful food, great service! Take note on how it's done!
