Cozy little cafe in Kiama, always nice to drop in for a coffee or light meal.
Enjoyed my meal. I was disappointed the breakfast menu wasn't all day menu.The one waitress was rather snappy and not happy. I don't think she was keen to be working on new year's Day. Not a great introduction to 2019. The way she was rearranging tables and chairs seemed to be with anger. Would I return yes but hopefully a different waitress. HAPPY NEW YEAR.
The staff member that served us was very friendly and helpful. The coffee was good and the addition of the little cookie on the side was cute. We came for breakfast on New Year's Day, and, surprisingly, the place wasn't packed. The menu is fairly standard for breakfast, including eggs, bacon, avocado on toast etc. They had granola and pancakes for the sweet tooth. The general menu items were between $12-20, depending on the item. Sides are additional $4. I thought this was a little steep, but I did very much enjoy the mushroom that I had added to my "breakfast special". The setting is lovely. Both inside and outside are very nice places to enjoy your meal. I don't think that the lemon curd tart I had was made on site though. The pastry tasted mass produced. Other than that, excellent meal.
Whether visiting this cafe with a small group or a larger group, I have always found the service friendly and efficient. Nothing seems to be a problem for the staff. Quality food and beverages have always been provided.
Saturday went for morning breakfast. Quite understaffed for a Saturday and lady on coffee machine slow. Food came before coffee although both tasted good. Best eggs bene I've had. Young staff very lovely.
